A Little about Gill.
I am owner and operator of Teddy Bear Day Care, a Licensed home daycare.
I have worked with children since I was sixteen.
I am now older, a little wiser and continue to do something I love. My other great love of my life (aside from family) are Teddy bears. Yes.. I'm a little eccentric yes.. my Teddy's are important to me but if that hasn't put you off, continue to explore this site.
I have worked with children for the last twenty seven years.
I trained as a early childhood educator both in the UK and Canada.
I am passionate about offering quality preschool experiences and education through play.
I feel that a rich learning experiences before a child enters school sets the foundation for all future learning and helps shape the adult they will become.
I have experience of different additional needs and have worked many years with children both with health needs and behavioral challenges and learning differences.

My Family
I have a husband, Neil who works from the house in his own upstairs office space when he isn’t on the road looking after the pig world. I also have five children, of which, two still live at hom, Harris and Robert. Tom Felicty an Alan have left home and are making their own way in the world.
The pets
We have three cats April a black and white rather overweight and standoffish and George who loves being admired and is alao black and whiteTheodore is our cat that is confused about his identity and thinks he is a dog. He is the sweetest cat with kids I have ever seen.
The Teddy Bears
Completing our family are the Teddy Bears predominantly Storm, Gregory, Coco Bean and Azam. Fred belongs to Neil and often comes to play with the children.
The Teddies each have developed personalities and often have the same struggles as children do.
The children at the daycare really help the bears learn about sharing and taking turns and being kind which is some times difficult for bears and little ones.
