How To Make Sock Baby
- Take a clean sock without holes,The type of sock with at least a little ribbing around the sock top. Works best as this later becomes "babies" hat.
- Stuff from the toe to the heel of the sock. Paper, dryer lint, and toy stuffing all work well. This is the babies body. Tie around the sock
- Next stuff the heel of the sock firmly to become the babies head. The thicker heel can become the face. Again tie off firmly above the head.
- Now fold the remaining sock back over the head to become a baby hat.
- I had the children show me where they wanted eyes nose etc and I hot glued them in place for them.
- The children then added to their babies. beds, blankets hair to name a few things.

Making a single cookie
This activity helps children follow directions with a tasty results. It takes less time than making a full batch of cookies and uses considerably less ingredients. The size of the finished cookie depends on how well children measure and how much dough they eat prior to cooking.
A big Thank you to Barb F that gave me this recipe so long ago she may not remember having given it to me. Her Classroom makes these cookies every year.Note never have mine or the children cookies EVER looked like the picture. An indistinguishable to us but completely identifiable to your child result is a more typical result.
Ingredients
1 table spoon of butter
1 table spoon of sugar
2 Table spoons of flour
1 drop of vanilla
- Mix butter and sugar together,
- Mix in flour,
- roll out dough on a floured surface and cut out or create shape (too thick a cookie will not cook well but letting the children discover this for themselves is never a bad idea)
- Bake at 350* for approximately 8 minutes.
